FAQ
What is an EV Charger / Charging Station?
An EV Charger or Charging Station supplies electricity to charge electric vehicles. Depending on the charger type, charging can take from 10 minutes to several hours.
How long does it take to charge EV?
AC (7–22 kW): 3–16 hours
DC Regular Charging (50-90kW): 40–90 min.
DC Fast Charging (100-180 kW): 20–45 min.
DC Ultra-Frast Charging (200+ kW): 10–25 min.
Charging time depends on your vehicle model, battery size and current battery level.
What is the difference between AC and DC charging?
- AC – Slow, for long stays (hotels, offices, residentials)
- DC – Fast, for quick stops and highways.
Does fast-charging damage the battery?
Fast-charging generally does not significantly damage EV batteries, as advanced and top-tier chargers regulate temperature and charging power due whole charging session.
Also, modern EVs are equiped with advanced battery management systems (BMS), which prevents battery from fast degradation.
Is charging cheaper than fuel?
Yes. Charging typically costs approx 50% less than gasoline or diesel per km driven.
Example (on average):
Electric Vehicle (EV) consumes in 20kWh electricity and combustion engine vehicle (CEV) 10 liters of fuel per 100km.
Price (average):
1 kWh ~ 0.80GEL
1 L fuel ~ 3.00 GEL
- EV: 20 x 0.80 = 16 GEL
- CEV: 10 x 3.00 = 30 GEL
This means driving an EV can be twice as economical – not considering maintenance and wear parts (like engine oil & filters, brake pads, etc.).
What types of connectors do you support?
We use:
- CCS2 (Europe standard)
- GB/T (China standard)
These connectors are compatible with most electric vehicles available in Georgia.
Is my car compatible?
All European and Chinese EVs in Georgia use CCS2 and GB/T. All other EVs will need an adapter to CCS2 or GB/T.
NOTE: Adapters are not recommended!
Is EV charging safe?
Yes – all our chargers are certified equipment with automatic protection systems.
Can I charge in rain?
Yes – all our chargers are weatherproof.
